fluid horizons

Continuing on Steve Paxton's contact improvisation (CI) This work plays with the concept of post-contact improvisation(PCI).
Four dancers are connected by two nine meter glass fibre sticks. Through the stick they sense each other's movement and are therefore able to move as one without the need to see one another.fluid horizons is a score based installation performance around the concept of being connected and making visible the space in between which connects us. It questionings the borders between object and subject, curves, circles and spirals.

The endless lines float around the room. Lines become curves. The atmospheric interactions of bodies, slowly moving towards each other.

duration: 120 min.
